As CEO, Grant is leading and supporting GMA as it pursues significant business growth through the full development of its international garnet resources and expands its market footprint globally.
 
He works to meet these goals while maintaining the caring culture GMA has fostered as an entrepreneurial, private business enterprise, and ensuring GMA takes a long term sustainable approach to business.
 
Prior to be appointed CEO in 2021, Grant joined GMA as CFO in 2015 and he was responsible for the ongoing stewardship of GMA’s financial performance and position as well as the management of day-to-day operations within the finance division.

Prior to joining GMA, he worked in the Corporate Finance and Restructuring divisions of Ernst & Young on a wide range of clients and industries.

Grant holds a Masters in Professional Accounting degree with high distinction and two Graduate Diplomas for Applied Finance and Chartered Accounting. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).

CFO

Luke is responsible for the ongoing stewardship of GMA’s financial performance and position as well as the management of day-to-day operations within the finance division. He oversees the management of the Group’s treasury function, management reporting, financial reporting, taxation and business systems, and works to improve decision support systems through analytics that inform business initiatives.
 
Prior to be appointed CFO in 2021, Luke joined GMA as Manager of Group Planning and Analysis function in 2015, responsible for all financial forecasting/budgeting, analysis, and reporting at GMA.

Prior to joining GMA, he worked as a Senior Analyst for a publicly listed company providing mining equipment in Australia, Southeast Asia, and America where he was responsible for Board and investor reporting, together with financial analysis and budgeting.

Luke holds a Master of Accounting degree and a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting. He is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

Flynn is responsible for the coordination and support of the sales and marketing strategies of the Group, as the business pursues its significant growth strategy. His key responsibilities comprise the leadership and strategic direction of the Group's four key functions: International Sales, Asia Pacific Sales, Global Marketing and Logistics. 
 
Prior to joining GMA, Flynn worked as a Regional Market Manager for Tesa, a manufacturer of industrial adhesive tapes. The role was based in Singapore and included accountability for the growth of the Asia Pacific market.  During his 14 years at Tesa, he also held the Sydney-based position of National Sales & Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand. 

Flynn holds a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering and has completed Management Training in Europe, supervised by Rotterdam School of Management, Heriot-Watt University and Copenhagen Business School.

Andreas is responsible for the global mining and production activities, and global technical services of the GMA group. This includes mines and production sites in Australia and the US as well recycling plants in the Middle East, Europe and the US.

Andreas has over 25 years of experience in operations, international project management, engineering, manufacturing, sales and business development. Prior to joining GMA, Andreas worked as a Vice President for K+S, a global leader in potash and salt mining as VP Technics/Energy, VP Operations for the European salt business, and as VP HSEQ & Sustainability. Prior to this he worked as a Technical Director for allmineral: a German based mineral processing equipment OEM. He also co-developed and grew allmineral’s business in Australia and acted as director of allmineral Australia.

Andreas holds a Master of Science (Eng) in Mining/Mineral Processing, and a Postgraduate Degree in Waste Management & Recycling, both from RWTH Aachen University, Germany.

Andreas heads up a team of 31 sales, marketing, purchasing and logistics professionals focused on serving GMA’s European market for waterjet cutting and surface preparation industry.

In addition, he manages customer accounts and maintains close business relations with members of GMA’s worldwide supply chain.

As one of the pioneer GMA employees in Europe, Andreas joined the Group in 1991 and has more than 30 years of experience in blasting, coating, sales and overall operational management to his role. He began his career at Hempel Paints in Germany, where he apprenticed and later served as Sales Manager, with a focus on shipyard and marine new-build accounts.

Rod oversees all aspects of management, supervision, and leadership of GMA’s processing, distribution and sales in Americas. In 1992, he joined GMA as Commercial Manager. Six years later, Rod left his position at GMA to pursue his own business interests in Pemberton, Western Australia.

Thirteen years later, he returned to GMA as Group Commercial Manager to provide commercial leadership and support to the Group’s operations worldwide. In his various roles, he has built capacity, across operations, finance, sales & business development that allow him to lead the business in the Americas.

Rod holds a double major in Accounting & Finance and was the Group Accountant for Ashton Mining Corporation prior to joining GMA.

Soni joined GMA in 2005, and was promoted to General Manager at Garnet Arabia Company – a GMA joint venture – in 2009. Today, he heads the entire Middle East Region as General Manager, which also includes the Subcontinent, selected countries from Africa and CIS States.

Soni began his career in 1998, working in Marketing & Sales for Al Kaabi Contracting & Trading Company, a civil contracting and trading company in Doha. During that time, GMA abrasives were part of his product portfolio, as his employer was the sole distributor for GMA in the state of Qatar.  

Seven years later, in 2005, Soni joined GMA Garnet Middle East as a Sales Manager in Jebel Ali, Dubai.  In 2007, he was promoted to the position of Business Development Manager at the newly-formed Garnet Arabia Company. 

Soni holds an MBA in International Business, a Masters Diploma in Business Administration majoring in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
