Over US$11,000 raised for employees affected by Hurricane Ida

On Sunday, 29 August 2021, Hurricane Ida, a deadly and destructive Category 4 Atlantic hurricane with sustained winds of 240km/h (150mph), made landfall in the U.S. state of Louisiana.

Unfortunately, most of our employees from our plant in Reserve, Louisiana, were affected. Some suffered a total loss of their homes and belongings. Doors, windows and roofs of their homes were damaged beyond repair.

Our immediate focus is the safety and well-being of our employees and their families in Reserve and the surrounding areas. On top of the assistance and support from the company, the GMA team has also organized a relief fund via GoFundMe to support the affected employees in rebuilding their homes and lives.

To date, our employees around the world and friends of GMA have raised US$11,680 via the appeal. We would like to thank those who donated, for your care and generosity to your fellow colleagues during the difficult time.
