GMA’s mining operation in USA produce a high-quality crushed hard rock garnet from our Ruby Valley mine in Alder, Montana. The garnet deposits from Alder were formed by a unique history of erosion and deposition, resulting in the toughest grains, optimally shaped for abrasive applications.
The unique high-quality garnet crystals contained in the ore body make for a superior abrasive for industrial water cutting and sand blasting.
The quality control measures implemented throughout the refinement are a significant part of the GMA process. Ore is sampled prior to leaving the mine, at several transition points during processing, and again as a final product to ensure only garnet meeting the rigorous GMA standards is delivered to our customers.
GMA takes pride in the fact that our product is undisputedly the highest quality natural abrasive and cutting medium available in the world today. The entire production process from mining to processing and administration is certified under various international quality standards, including:
- ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems)
- ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems)
